Join local poet, Siobhan Mac Mahon. as she guides you on a journey into the wonderful landscape of your imagination, with a series of creative writing exercises.
In this busy, sometimes overwhelming world, poetry can be a refuge for the soul; a breathing place where beauty, truth and hope reside.
Over the six weeks you will:
• Engage in a series of fun, inspiring and easy to follow writing exercises.
• Develop the skills and confidence to craft your own poems.
• Find inspiration in the work of other poets.
• Learn a bit about editing and getting your poems published.
Suitable for anyone (16+) who has ever wanted to try their hand at writing poetry. Just bring a pen and a notebook and enjoy letting your creativity flourish!
The workshop run on 6 Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:30pm – the cost of the course is £85 for all 6 weeks

Siobhan Mac Mahon is an award-winning Poet who has been writing and performing her poetry for over twenty years. She is an experienced and skilled facilitator, who has many years of creating and delivering writing workshops in a wide range of communities and settings. She has recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at University College Dublin. Siobhan has collaborated extensively with other artists to create Spoken Word projects, combining poetry with music, dance and with film. She was shortlisted for the Hennessey New Irish Writing Poetry award 2018. Siobhan has been published both online and in print, most recently in a Bloodaxe/ Raving Beauties Anthology and in the Irish Times
