Title: The First Red Flower
The First Red Flower is from my Heartland Watercolours series. This scene of joy and discovery is called The First Red Flower because it really was the first Heartland red flower I created and represents everything I felt when I was first exploring my imaginary Heartland. The red flower was to become a theme in the series and you’ll see that other paintings cross-reference this one in other ways too, including the Heartland fruit trees.
Available as cards and giclee prints, mounted/unmounted/framed/unframed. Please be sure to contact me for options and prices.
About the Heartland Watercolours series: These paintings are very dear to me. They come from a place of imagination and joy deep inside my heart – my Heartland – and encapsulate my natural approach to drawing and painting – freehand, no planning ahead, just let my hand and brain do the talking, with my only intention being to create something new and exciting and beautiful 🙂
