Title: Passing the Wyre Light
When I launch my boat at Knott End for a fishing trip of Fleetwood I used to travel out to what was left of the Old Wyre Light and turn left and out to sea. This was the same journey that many generations of Fleetwood fishermen made in their trawlers before they headed out to much more dangerous waters than I fished in. I wanted to create a feeling of what it must have been like for them by including the light as it must have appeared in its pomp.
