Jenny Cathcart
I have been producing art works in a variety of media for about 15 years, after taking early retirement from the IT industry. My work is mainly landscapes or seascapes, with occasional animal, botanical and still life pieces. I use oils, pencils, fineliners and drawing with Zentangle designs. My landscape work is based on my own photographs of places I have lived in, or visited over many years: I have travelled widely in Europe, USA and Canada. My most recent work is in digital ‘painting’. Here I work in blocks of colours on drawings, inspired by the patchwork patterns of the landscape of the Yorkshire Dales and fells near my home. I am a member of Staindrop Art Group.
