I’ve worked as a freelance photographer and retoucher for about five years in total, three full time. Currently I run Yorkshire Photo Restoration, which is an amalgmation of my previous photography business, GHZ Photography and my retouching service.
I love all kinds of art but my biggest passion is for photography. I’ve shot a wide range of subjects over the last decade, from urban environments to cute kittens. I favour working on location and as such don’t tend to require studio space.
After making photography my full time career my passion for certain subjects fell to one side whilst i concentrated on running a business shooting subjects I wouldn’t normally shoot and restoring old damaged photos via my restoration business. As a result, sadly, the hobby side of my photography has started to suffer in the last two years- something I intend to change in 2020… assuming we ever get out of lockdown!
As well as photography I also like painting, 3d modelling/printing and clay sculpting – though i’m still on a very steep learning curve in all these areas!
During lockdown I’m only doing product photos, restoration work and selling prints . If you have any old beloved photos that are damaged and require repair or you’d like to convert a black and white photo to colour then i’m your man 🙂
