I am an amateur artist who fell in love with colour and creation as a means of escape. My day job is fairly demanding and as a doctor, I find the endless depths of creative expression in a piece of art is therapeutic and stress relieving. I paint what I feel, experience and allow myself completely exposed and immersed in my art. I love sharing my art with friends and colleagues and would like to expand that circle. I find joy in my creations and I want to share that joy.
My inspiration comes mainly from nature, seasons and amongst all the elements, I am drawn to water the most and that reflects in my art. I started with watercolours, acrylics, pastels and found I ran out of space with my fecund creations so explored the world of digital art which is now my preferred medium.
I was born and raised in India and find my ties to Indian culture and experiences spill over quite often into my work. I have friends and family scattered all over the world and I find indigenous art be it Indian, aboriginal or Native American hugely inspiring.
I live in Yorkshire and am surrounded by inspiration wherever I go. I often go for long drives and walks on the various pennine trails and the colours and feelings stay with me and drop on my art giving it an extra depth in my opinion. I encourage my friends and patients to give into their creative urges, whatever they maybe. I used to play the Sitar growing up and find music and poetry compliment my passion for art hugely.
