Working with a number of plates of different sizes and shapes you will experiment with mark making and building up surfaces on aluminium. You will use traditional scrapers and drypoint needles along with sanding and more innovative mark making approaches.

The plates will be inked exploring a la poupee techniques and multi plate, multi–colour inking techniques. You can experiment with the arrangement of the plates to make different compositions. You will also explore transparent inks to achieve layering of colour and images.
